The supposed haunted tunnel at Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania |
I grew up in central Pennsylvania. I have heard a few stories of hauntings there as well as some personal experiences.

Horseshoe Curve Tunnel - Altoona
One of the most renown railroad landmarks in the United States, horseshoe curve, is near Altoona, PA. The tunnel beyond the museum for that allows cars to pass through the curve is supposedly haunted. If you go into the tunnel and shut off your engine, its is said that on occasion, you can hear voices and laughing. My friends and I actually tried this once, but nothing out of the ordinary happened. Perhaps we were there at the wrong time?
